Our Story

 What is Encounter Church all about?

We opened the doors as Glad Tidings Assembly of God in 1974. In 1989 we took a step in faith and built a sanctuary that seats 700 people and have seen God bless this Church body ever since. In 2018 we decided to change the name from Glad Tidings to Encounter Church because of our hearts to see individuals encounter God, encounter Community, and encounter Purpose. A lot has changed in the past forty years, but our core values have remained the same.
